What do you want? - I was talking to my husband yesterday about how important it is to define/visualize/express what you REALLY want. Sometimes that is not an easy question to answer. I believe God is in the business of BIG miracles, so you better really want what you are asking for.
How do you know what you want?. Depending on the season of your life you may be more in tune with what OTHERS in your lfe need/want, but getting to understand your own desires is so important. Or you may know exactly what you want, but don't feel like you deserve it. Listen, as long as your desire isn't hurting anyone, then you 100% deserve it.
Sit down and close your eyes. Ask yourself what you want. Sit with that first thought. Visualize it. How does it feel? How does it feel in your body? Did your shoulders relax at the thought? did a smile appear on your face?. Did you hold you breath? If the thought didn't bring you peace ... then is it what you really want? or is it what you think you "should" want? or what someone else wants from you?.
wild geese
by Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting–over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
THINGS I'M LOVING LATELY...
Back to Orange Theory!. It's been a HOT minute since I was at OTF, but I am back and just loving it. If you are feeling in a funk with your workouts, I highly recommend you try this! (all levels!)
I binged watched the new series on Prime, "Daisy Jones and the Six". By binge, I mean it took me a couple of weeks to watch. I never really binge shows because I'm too tired to stay up!.
I read the book a few years ago so didn't recall the entire storyline (and it wasn't fresh enough in m memory to compare!), but I absolutely loved it.
Ever since I discovered Noah Kahan, I've had him playing on repeat in the studio
I don't mean to brag, but I made a killer lasagna for a friend recently. Here is the recipe for the "world's best lasagna" (and it's as good as they claim it is!)
