This one holds a special place in my heart because she is one of my favorite writers.  She is also the one that started this series for me.

She is one of America's greatest writers and while she led a fairly simple life her words were full of power.  She often ignored the "rules" of writing and instead was original and bold.  Her background and foreground sort of melt into each other because I believe that is how she chose to live, spending a lot of time alone with her words and nature.

Mixed media on 24x24 panel

Mixed media painting on a 2" deep birchwood panel.  The sides are painted to match the colors of each portrait in the series. It will come ready to hang and does not need to be framed.
